Job Description:

Our entity Eml Data Intelligence (EDI) is looking for its Data Engineer. You will work in a Cloud environment (Google Cloud Platform or Microsoft AZURE) that you will contribute to exploit at best by participating in the deployment of features and solutions that we will need (data platform projects, Data Lake, Analytics…) by combining programming and innovation. You will evolve in a resolutely international context where each actor has his place and where solidarity and mutual aid are fundamental. You will work in a rich, highly diversified and constantly evolving technical environment.

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop data pipelines to collect, process, and store data on a large scale.
• Develop and maintain efficient and reliable data storage systems to ensure that data is stored securely and accessible to users.
• Design and implement data ingestion solutions to extract data from heterogeneous sources and convert it into standardized formats for easy use (BigQuery ecosystem, Hive, Spark, Java, Scala, Databricks, relational/OLAP databases).
• Collaborate with business teams to understand data needs and develop solutions to meet those needs.
• Ensure data quality and integrity by monitoring data processes and developing tests to verify data quality.
• Optimize system performance by identifying bottlenecks and implementing improvements.
• Perform analysis and testing to improve system performance and identify potential problems.
• Design cloud data architectures effectively leveraging GCP or Microsoft AZURE managed data services.
• Define software architectures tailored to use cases in various business domains: fraud detection, supply chain, customer journey analysis, etc.
• Work and develop on Cloud environments: GCP, Azure.
• Ensure technology watch on Big Data and Cloud Data Platform technologies.
• Knowledge of project management methodologies, especially Agile.

Skills required:

With a degree in engineering or a high level of training in the field of information technology, you have a hybrid profile between an understanding of business issues and a mastery of Data Science. You will be in charge of one or more Data projects from the definition of the needs to the implementation with IT and their continuous improvement. You will be in charge of detecting user problems and identifying appropriate solutions to the need, with feasibility/alternatives elements on the entire value production chain. And to carry out these responsibilities, you have the following skills:

• Ability to translate customer needs into product uses and functionalities
• Good knowledge of ETL processes and tools.
• Ability to understand the principles and practices of data analysis and the latest advances in Machine Learning to identify potential product applications
• Strong SQL skills (BI knowledge).
• Understanding of the Data architecture present around the data (Data Lake, Data-Hub, Data-Lab, Data Warehouse, Pipeline)
• At least hands-on experience with one of the data processing ecosystems such as Hadoop, HIVE, Bigquery,
• DataFactory or Synapse.
• Hands-on experience with programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala
